Who is eligible for a free bed?
Each child age 3 to 18 who has no bed of their own or whose bed is in unfit condition.
Who can request beds?
Beds may ONLY be requested through guidance counselors or administrators from North Texas ISDs with a school-issued email account OR pre-approved case managers at hospitals.
Parents or other organizations cannot request the beds themselves.
How can I request a bed for a student/family?
School guidance counselors or administrators use their ISD email account to submit a request by clicking the button below and filling out the form.
What happens then?
Dallas Furniture Bank will reach out to the school staff directly to schedule a pick up of the bed(s).
Parents should not call Dallas Furniture Bank directly, but should work through their child's school staff.
When can beds be picked up?
The Dallas Furniture Bank warehouse is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm for pick up. Pick ups must be scheduled in advance.
Can Dallas Furniture Bank deliver the bed(s)?
No, Beds4Kidz is a pick up only program.
Are the beds only for Dallas ISD students?
Dallas Furniture Bank works with school districts all over North Texas. Families do not have to have students in DISD to participate. All school districts across the greater North Texas area are welcome to submit requests.
What if adults need beds or the children need other furniture?
Beds4Kidz only provides beds for children age 3 to 18.

What about baby beds/cribs?
Due to liability issues, Dallas Furniture Bank cannot provide baby beds, cribs, or pack-n-play/playpens for infants.
What about homeschooled children?
Parents homeschooling their children should reach out to their TEA sponsor teacher with an ISD address to submit a referral.
